To allow for efficient separation in chromatography applications, the primary particles of the stationary phase should be discrete and as monodisperse as possible. IDISIL® combines monodispersity, a very narrow particle size distribution and customized surface functionalization of particles.

An even packing of the column with discrete monodisperse particles then leads to equally sized pores.
